Visited by chance in passing when we were looking for a quick bite to eat in the neighbourhood. Definitely a slice of luck and more than a slice of pizza! I believe this used to be a craft beer bar with the pizza business out the back but seems like the pizza business have taken over the whole of the venue and rebranded it. If you can look past the gimmicky name, it is a good craft destination even if you are not eating.

The main action is in the front of the venue which houses the bar, with a few stools at the bar and some assorted tables with very comfy seating dotted around. There is a small room out the back leading to the outside covered space where the pizza action takes place (and I think also directly accessible from the street without need to traverse the pub - quite why you would want to do that I can’t compute).

Aside from the six keg options (and not a bad line up of two from local brewery Flowerhorn, Yawn & Gits, Cali Pale from Tiny Rebel, Nightjar stout from Wye Valley, with Orchard Gold cider from Gwynt Y Ddraig and Wrexham lager) there was a single cask offering namely HPA from Wye Valley again from the barrel perched at the back of the small servery! Plenty of craft can and bottle options as well.

The bar also houses an assortment of board games and my wife insisted we play scrabble during our stay if about 2 hours, presumably expecting to chalk up a routine win over me. Plan backfired and I left having discovered a decent venue in this part of town and a rare Scrabble win over her!!
